Falcon Rest Manor

This summer our program visited beautiful McMinnville, Tennessee and Falcon Rest Manor. This was truly one of the most enjoyable field trips I have ever been on. The students were divided into three groups and the groups rotated to different activities throughout the visit. Students took a tour of Falcon Rest Manor, played Victorian Era games in the garden, and visited the gift shop to see toys and other interesting memorabilia from the Victorian Era. We were treated to a delicious lunch in the carriage house and learned about table manors and the "Language of the Fans". Our host and hostess were most gracious! We planted a tree in the garden. Our host even took us on a tour of McMinnville and Rock Island State Park. If you are ever in McMinnville, Tennessee, you have got to visit Falcon Rest Manor, "Where is history is fun!"
